Functional Testing

We use an evidence-based approach and functional testing to help identify and treat the root cause of your symptoms.

Following your comprehensive initial consultation, your practitioner may recommend specific lab tests to gain a deeper insight into your individual health picture.

Some basic tests can be organised through your GP or standard pathology services, while more specialised functional tests are completed through private laboratories.

Advanced tests can be done from the comfort of your own home using samples such as saliva, urine, stool, breath, or hair.

Naturopaths are trained to interpret blood results using optimal functional ranges, rather than relying solely on standard laboratory reference ranges. This allows us to identify early imbalances before they progress to disease, providing a more proactive and preventative approach to your health.

These results help us gain a clearer picture of your overall health, uncover underlying contributors to your symptoms, and guide a more personalised treatment plan to support optimal wellbeing.
